It can be recalled that the execution of the unnamed Filipino pushed through last October 5, Saturday.

According to GMA News, he was handed down a death penalty sentence for killing a Saudi national.

The Filipino allegedly he beat the Saudi national with a hammer on his head after they had squabble over a business.

In GMA News’ report, Charge d’ Affaires Romato said they tried settling with the family of the Saudi national by offering blood money, but it was refused.

The Philippine official also said that the Saudi government helped by staying the execution for some time in order for the Philippine government to have enough leeway to ask forgiveness from the Saudi national’s family but like the blood money, they also did not accept the apology.

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh revealed there are nine other Filipinos who are in the death row right now.

One of the nine also killed a Saudi national and at the moment, the government is doing everything in order that his life will be spared and avoid a repeat of what happened last October 5.
