Rendon Labador, may pakiusap sa SM Management ukol SG na nasisante dahil kay “Sampaguita Girl”

Rendon Labador, in a recent post on Facebook, issued an appeal to the SM Megamall management in Mandaluyong City where one of the security guards assigned to the mall recently went viral. It can be recalled that the said SG was immediately dismissed by the management of the said mall after a video of him shooing away what appeared to be a little girl went viral. In the video, one can see the security guard approach the girl who was sitting on the steps with her Sampaguita garland and appear to warn her not to sit there. When the “Sampaguita girl,” who was later found out to be an 18-year-old lady, stood up, the SG grabbed the bunch of garlands she’s selling, destroy it and threw the flowers on the steps. He also seemed to be kicking the girl, who at this time was already trying to fight back by striking the guard by what remained of the garland she’s selling. Lalaki, namatay matapos mahulog sa elevator na ang sahig ay gawa lamang sa plywood

A 25-year-old man from Iloilo lost his life after falling from an elevator with a makeshift plywood floor. The incident occurred on New Year's Eve at the company where he was employed. To this day, the victim's body has not yet been buried as the family is still seeking financial assistance. According to a report by 'ONE Balita Pilipinas,' the company gave the family P100,000, but it wasn’t enough since their expenses have already reached P300,000 and continue to grow. Additionally, the victim was their family's breadwinner and just started working in Metro Manila last year. The family is hoping for any amount from kindhearted people so they can arrange the burial of their son. Watch the report in the video below:

Na-dismiss na umano ang security guard sa viral video nito kung saan makikitang itinataboy niya 'di umano ang isang estudyanteng naglalako ng sampaguita. Sa inilabas na official statement ng SM Megamall sa kumakalat na video, sinabing kinokondena nila ang nagawa sa dalagita. "As SM Supermalls always promotes inclusivity for all, we strongly condemn this act committed against her." Siniguro rin umano ng SM na hindi na makakapagbigay serbisyo ang sekyu sa anumang SM malls. "We have called the attention of the security agency to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation. The Security Guard has been dismissed and will no longer be allowed to service any of our malls."

The corpse of Jenny Sanchez Alvarado, an OFW who died in Kuwait on Jan. 2, was sent home to the Philippines on Jan. 10. However, her family was surprised when they found out that it was a different corpse that was inside the box. Details of Jenny were written on the box, which was why the family could not easily accept everything. GMA's Unang Balita reported that it was the corpse of the Nepali co-worker of Jenny that was in the box. Based on the documents from the Ministry of Health of Kuwait, the cause of death of Jenny was cardiac and respiratory arrest. Based on the report forwarded to the OWWA, the cause of death was "suffocation. "Three domestic workers tragically lost their lives due to suffocation from coal in Kabd Area."

A newborn baby was found abandoned in a grassy area in Cannery Site, Polomolok, South Cotabato. The baby reportedly had ant bites and was only wrapped in a piece of torn sack. According to a report by GMA Regional TV in 'Balitanghali,' the baby's umbilical cord was still attached. The baby was taken to a hospital and is now safe and being cared for. The police authorities are still in the process of knowing who was the parent responsible for the crime. Watch the report in the video below:

92-anyos na lolo na gusto na umanong mamatay, gumawa ng sariling kabaong

A 92-year-old man from Palanas, Masbate, who was allegedly ready to die, made his own coffin. The custom-made coffin was built from a mahogany tree, which he planted when he was 30 years old. He stands 5'4" and made quite a bit of breathing space so he'd fit in perfectly inside his coffin. As it turned out, making his own coffin was as easy as 1, 2, 3 for him because it had been his job for decades. The widow had been living alone since his wife passed away in 2017. He has a son named Willy, who lives in the NCR. According to KMJS, he even prepared his burial clothes, money for the priest who would lead the mass, and his final resting place in the cemetery. At one point during his interview with KMJS, he said, "Gusto ko na rin na kunin na ako. PAgkatapos kong magdasal, kinakantahan ko and asawa ko. Inaawitan ko siya na kunin na ako." Two male minors were involved in a fight with another group of minors in Sitio Lambago, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City. Reports say the two boys were pushed off a cliff during the altercation. In an interview with GMA Regional TV on '24 Oras,' police shared that the stepmother of one of the boys said they were just getting some fresh air in the area when the group of minors attacked them. Authorities acted quickly on the incident and have already identified the group responsible for the attack. Meanwhile, the families of the victims no longer proceeded in filing charges against the offenders. Watch the report in the video below:
